Cash For Cars That Don't Run Blown Engines, Dead Transmissions, Sitting For Years

You do not need to start it, move it, steer it or air the tyres. We bring the truck and the winch. Most vehicles pay $200 to $500 in cash at pickup.

Won't Start Is Fine We Winch It Out Cash At Pickup

Who buys non running cars in Nashville, sell a car that will not start

A car that will not start is worth more than most people think and costs more to keep than most people realise. We buy non-running vehicles across Nashville and 20 miles around it, pay cash at pickup , and the tow is free. You do not need to get it running, get it rolling, or get it to us — that is the entire point of calling a company that owns its own trucks.

What we buy

The failure does not matter

Blown or seized engine

Thrown a rod, cracked block, hydrolocked, seized solid. The engine being finished does not finish the car.

Failed transmission

Slipping, no drive, no reverse. Transmission repairs regularly cost more than the vehicle is worth, which is usually why people call.

Electrical and no-crank

Turns over and will not fire, or nothing at all. We do not need a diagnosis, just a description.

Sat too long

Years in a driveway, flat on its tyres, brakes seized, rodents in the loom. Extremely common and not a problem.

Why a truck matters more than a price

Plenty of outfits will quote a non-runner over the phone. Fewer of them own a flatbed. When a buyer has to subcontract the tow, the tow cost comes out of your number, or the pickup slips a week, or both.

AG Towing & Recovery runs the trucks. That is why the removal is free rather than deducted, why same-day pickup is realistic, and why a vehicle with no wheels sunk into the grass behind a garage is a normal Tuesday rather than a reason to renegotiate.

What you need

Proof of ownership is always required. We can purchase many vehicles without a title, but never without confirming you are legally able to sell. Depending on the vehicle we may ask for a valid photo ID, current or expired registration, a bill of sale, or a lien release.

Call (615) 917-2015 with the year, make, model and whatever paperwork you have, and we will tell you what is needed for that vehicle before a truck is dispatched. All purchases follow Tennessee law and Tennessee Department of Revenue title requirements.

Questions

Non-runners, answered

Do I need to know what is wrong with it?

No. "It stopped and never started again" is a perfectly good description. We are buying the vehicle, not diagnosing it, so a rough account of what happened is enough to price it.

It has been sitting for years and the tyres are flat. Is that a problem?

No. Flat tyres, seized brakes and a vehicle that will not roll are all routine. Mention it when you call so the right truck turns up, because a car that will not roll needs different equipment to one that will.

Is a non-running car worth less than one that drives?

Usually somewhat, but far less than people assume, because most of the value is in the vehicle itself rather than whether it moves under its own power. Most vehicles pay $200 to $500 either way.

Can you get it out from behind my house?

Yes, and the winch-out is included at no extra cost within our free pickup area. Tell us what is in the way — fences, gates, other cars, soft ground — and we will send the right truck the first time.

Do I have to be there when you collect it?

Someone authorised to sell the vehicle needs to be present, because payment is cash handed over at pickup and ownership documents are checked then. Call (615) 917-2015 if that is difficult and we will work out the timing.

Tell us what it's doing

Year, make, model, roughly what went wrong and where it is parked. We will price it on the phone and tell you the soonest a truck can be there.
